I am looking for help in building a stairway between two levels of a split level. The lower level is on a slab and the next level has a full basement under it and the level I am trying to join is 4 feet above the lower level. I've attached a view of the problem. My stairwell needs to go into the upper level by 3 treads. The stairway doesn't cut through the floor of the upper level. How do I make that happen? Also, when I try to automatically generate the stairwell, I receive and error message that it: "Cannot find the floor above the stairs in which to place the stairwell".
Can someone help me with this?
