Split Level Entry

I'm very new to Chief Architect.  My first project is a split level bungalow with a daylight basement.  The front entry opens to a landing with another door to the garage.  The two walls at the front door and garage door balloon through to the underside of the first floor ceiling.  There's a separate entry to the basement on the side of the house. The door also opens to a landing.

I can't seem to make the walls work or install the doors.
