Help with complicated roof.

Hello, We are using a demo ver X11 because we are having a hard time getting any of the design programs to do the roof right. We have tried with Sketchup and it got the closest. It's hard to describe I have attached a few PDF's with a decent idea of what we are trying to do.

The Garage is a shed roof as well as the breeze way, but they are at different angles. The house is a butterfly style with the V running at a angle.

My question is can this software do this design?

Thanks

Chris

The Chief Architect site is https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/

HomeTalk is for the Home Designer products.

Please post screen captures, or just the original image instead of a PDF of an image.

As for your question, I would say yes, the software can do it.

This is a model I did with Home Designer Pro which has a subset of the roof tools in Chief Premier.

Hey guys sorry for the delay answering. Have a bunch of family stuff going for the holidays. I attached some pics of what we are trying to do. Take a look and feel free o ask any questions. One thing I might have to do is raise the entire roof up a another foot or two to maintain the first floor ceiling height depending on what our truss design ends up being.

My answer was yes, and again, if you are using the Chief Architect trial, you should be asking on the Chief forum linked above.

No not really, was kind of hoping someone would help?

Help with what?

The trial does not let you save, so someone would need to create your design from scratch.

You should post images of what you are doing with Chief, not SketchUp.
