Auto Exterior Dimensions Generating Across Interior of Plan

Hello,

I am new to this forum but I have had a reoccurring issue with my automatic exterior dimensions. I have automatic interior dimensions turned off. When I draw the exterior of a house, when two exterior walls are in similar position to one another on the top and bottom of the house, I get an automatically generated exterior dimensions across the center of my project. This is very annoying as I use these automatic dimensions to properly size my projects. I am involved in planning custom homes and the room sizes and exterior wall positions change frequently in the beginning stages of planning, so being able to use the auto exterior dimensions is very helpful. For the Final project I will edit these dimensions, and add manual ones, but until then, I would like to not have a random exterior dimension across my project. What can I change to stop this from occurring? Thanks! (Image attached)

I am using Home Designer Professional 2016. Build 17.3.3.2x64 - Sept 14,2015.

I commonly use auto-exterior dimensions on, early in a project, especially if it is a remodel project where I am emulating an existing structure. Once I have the exterior walls located I then turn auto-exterior dimensions off. It is not our place to tell you that you are "wrong" for wanting what you want, you are not. But the fact is that tools in HD Pro are pre-programmed to work in a particular way. They are not adjustable by the end-user to a significant degree. If I get dimensions where I do not want them, I edit them manually or delete them. My main focus is just getting my work done. Chief Architect Premier and Home Designer software are great tools to portray Architecture (not perfect but quite useful, none the less).
