I have been able to create a recessed shower shelf like that in the attached image by using a window and changing the materials. It looks fine from the bathroom, but there's the same window showing on the wall of the adjacent room. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks! solver Posted February 7, 2018 Share Posted February 7, 2018 That's typically called a niche. You may have something in the library, or in one of the bonus catalogs available online. Use a Pass Through if Architectural has it (under windows). What are you seeing on the back side? You should have all parts of the window off so it's just a hole in the wall. That's great for the bathroom, but not from the adjacent room. Pass-thru works the same. I was just hoping to avoid using a soffit if a more elegant solution were available. Many thanks. That feature exists in Chief Premier X9 and X10 (Niche tool), as well as Home Designer Pro 2018 and Architectural 2018 but not what you currently have.
