AirstreamJake Posted February 9, 2017 Share Posted February 9, 2017 I am new to the Pro 2017 software and to CAD. I am designing a house which will have a screened room. The room will consist of 'posts' made of treated 2x4 studs. The studs will span between the treated 2x4 floor plate and the two top plates (also to be treated). 'Posts' will be on 48" centers, and to reinforce the top plates (on which the roof will sit), immediately below the two top plates will sit a treated 2x6 which will itself rest on cripple studs. DavidJPotter Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 It can be done but is a little too complicated to explain in detail here on a free help forum. I does involve a number of advanced techniques to bring it off in fully 3D and the simple solution is to just draw the wall elevations using 2D CAD.
