chiefjdennis Posted December 4, 2016 Share Posted December 4, 2016 I've got a single story roof on one part of a house being affected by a second story ceiling height in a different (adjacent) section of the house. Setting the 2nd story ceiling height to 50" or less, yields a good looking 1st floor roof as expected. However, when I increase the 2nd story ceiling height above 50" its as if the roof ridge beam of the 1st story section wants to follow the same height Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue? LawB10 Posted December 5, 2016 Share Posted December 5, 2016 In addition to what Jo_Ann suggested, all the 2nd floor walls were not aligned, There was no need to use "Open Below" on the foundation, you create a room on the 1st floor and make that room "Open Below".
