Foundation problems with a house on a hillside.

Hello,

I am stuck on this for several days. I'm designing a house on a hillside that is partially supported by a concrete slab and partially supported by posts, jetting out of the hillside (see pictures). I built the slab portion with no problems, but I cannot get the software to build the framing of the floor of the portion that will be supported by the posts. I have already looked at the "Creating a Structure that is Built on Piers" tutorial, but that technique doesn't seem to help a more complex terrain such as the one at hand. Do I need to build the frame manually or is there an easier way?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello David,

I cannot thank you enough for looking over my plan. What I was missing was the change of "material" for the floor structure. I thought that function was purely cosmetic.

By the way, the walls I had on the basement level was an attempt to force the software to build a frame above it.

Now I just need to find out what that white sheet of material below the overhang is.

Thanks again,

Gustavo
