Cloud based file sharing

I want to be able to share files with other designers in my company so at times we can each work on a portion of the design. We all have Chief X8 on our computers but when we try to save the file on a USB so another person can open, we get corrupted files.  If we move to a cloud based system would this allow more than one person to work on a file?

Never save any files from any software directly onto a USB drive.  Always save to the computer's hard drive, exit out of the program you were using, then within your OS you'll transfer the file to the USB drive and make sure to properly eject the drive.  The other person then should copy the file from the USB drive to their computer (not work on the file while it's still on the USB drive).

If you go with a cloud system, you'll still want something that just backs up data to the cloud, not work on desktop applications where the files are only stored on the cloud.

You should contact Chief Architect Inc Tech Support for such questions. They know how Chief is programmed to work, you get opinions here (not very useful really), call them and find out the Truth.

A cloud based system might work but only ONE file can be used by a group and by only one user at a time not several users at once. Verify this with Tech Support please.
