Plot Diagram Creation Problem

I am trying to create a plot outline.  I am following the directions in HD Help.  I am using HD Suite 2015.  The plot is a polygram with 5 sides.  I am using the dialog box and am started with the first line by entering the length and the survey angle.  This worked great for the first three sides of the plot.  When trying to enter side four it also selected side three so it was not possible to enter sides four and five.  If this has already been discussed in another part of this forum please advise on where I should look for guidance.

If you have received plot plan information from a surveyor, keep in mind that any given line can be described in two ways using Quadrant Bearings, and not all surveyors will describe the lines of a given plot in the same direction (ie, clockwise or counterclockwise).  If the lines are not described in the same direction, your result will not be a closed polyline.

The above is from https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00850/drawing-a-plot-plan.html   Knowledge Base Article on doing Surveys. I think  this is what you are running into.

There are other articles in the Knowledge Base which may help you as well: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/search/?q=drawing+surveys

Thanks David Potter.  I don't think that is my problem.  The first three sides of the plot displayed correctly but when I apply the same process for the fourth side and then click on the fourth side to apply the length and angle from the survey, When I click on the fourth side it makes the object that I'm dealing with the third AND fourth side instead of just the fourth side.  Therefore, it doesn't give me dialog box to input the length and angle for the fourth side.  If I understand your response correctly, I may have a problem getting the end of the fifth side to meet up with the start of the first side but I'm not to that point yet.  Any thoughts?
