chiefuserrick Posted August 30, 2015 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Now that I've somewhat replicated the Harmony Mountain Cottage by Garrell Associates, I am starting a new design to simplify it with the exception of a partial walkout basement. We want to place the bedroom that borders the deck to under the bedroom that is adjacent to the garage. I have roughed in the new perimeter exterior walls and need to know where to go next. Do I start with house on slab or a full basement for the foundation? Any tips can save me a lot of trial and error. solver Posted August 30, 2015 Share Posted August 30, 2015 I just tried it as I rarely do foundations. By setting all space except the area over the basement as a slab, and specifying the correct height for your basement walls in the Build Foundation dialog, you should get what you are after.
