Adding decorative collar ties to cathedral ceilings

How can I add decorative wood beam collar ties in a cathedral ceiling?  I'm okay with manually adding them but haven't found that option anywhere.

Does Suite have this option?

solver - Only Pro allows you to manually add framing.  No trusses or ceiling beams in Architectural, Suite, Interiors, Landscape or Essentials.

RollingStone - You can either upgrade, or use different tools to create the same look in your version, like Shapes from the Library Browser, or import objects from the 3D Warehouse.

A soffit with Wood texture should work even in Suite I think?

What's the easiest way to add a soffit to span a cathedral ceiling?

Place it in plan view. Drag it to rough size. Switch to a camera view for final adjustments.

 

Once one is done, use Transform Replicate if it's available to duplicate.
