  1. This is a wacky idea but try rotating the siding 90 degrees, just to see if that will force the video card to display it correctly. Remember, I did say it was a wacky idea!
  2. Maybe this will help. Draw 2 cad lines to use as a reference point (shown in red). 1st one at 0, 2nd at 45. Position the cabinets until the front corners touch (fill-in between cabinets will auto build). Add a 3rd cad line from front pivot point to back pivot point (gives a reference point for the breakfast countertop's outer pivot point). Use the custom countertop (or soffits) for the breakfast counter. Raise the cabinet backsplash to meet the breakfast counter. If you block the components, you can then position the breakfast bar anywhere you want, without losing the configuration.
  3. When the roof is correct, turn off 'auto build roof '. The interior walls can then be removed, if desired.
  4. Lower roof profile, minus the 2nd rv bay.
  5. A lower roof profile ? Or has the far left side garage been axed?
  6. What Eric said is important, so I am just guessing.... But maybe this will get you headed in the right direction.
  7. Jeff, I wish you had also posted a pic of the west wall invisible bumpout, so that we could see what was not matching up. But I'm thinking maybe raise the ceiling in the invisible room. LawB10, Thanks for clarifying that Suite16 can open HDA10. I didn't think it was possible, because HDA is a higher level program. The difference between the programs? LOTS. Sloped soffits are indispensable! Custom countertops, moldings, etc.
  8. Is a footing 48" below ground level needed at a basement walk-out?
  9. Jeff, Many of the answers given, are relevant to your room over the garage. However, I don't think that Suite has some of the tools used to get the end results. Your exterior has little additions, such as the front full roof overhang (under the gable with the double windows), and the gable overhanging soffit at the west end. All of the extras require workarounds with Suite. My example is done with HDA10, using only the basic tools available in HDA and Suite. All of my settings (ceiling heights, roof pitches, etc.) are just guesses at what your own settings are. I could not open your plan to see the actual settings. Too many things to explain, but I could upload my plan if you want to look at my settings. You would only be able to open it (I think??) if you download the free trial version of HDA2016. Seeing the strategy used, might be helpful to you.

    Island design

Simplest way... You have Pro, so use the custom countertop and add molding. If you want the 'table like' face below the counter, use soffits or custom countertop for that, too (and you can also add molding to that, as well).

    Glass Shower Wall

It means that, I don't understand what it is that you are really wanting to do.

    Window Cornice

Add a soffit above it, and put the crown molding on that.

The library has that exact item. In my library, it is found under: Interiors> Accessories> Kitchen Items> Cabinet Trim.
  14. Yes, you can do the steeple with the tools that Suite has. It does involve a 3rd floor (and also a 'room within a room') but it also uses some trickery to get the roof to build correctly.
  15. Is this what you are trying to produce?
  16. Soffits are good for everything!
  17. Ha Ha! I would rather he gave me a winning super lotto ticket!
  18. Oops. Ran into a snag. When opening a 2010 file with a 2015 version, sometimes things don't display the same. When opened with 2015, the garage door wall appears raised. It is caused by the invisible room I needed to set up to get the roof to build correctly. Open the room dbx (invisible room) , set the room type as 'garage', then bury the floor structure (floor 'C') at -40", to get rid of it. Reset the garage doors 'floor to bottom' at 0".
  19. The 1st pic is the original cottage. Pics 2&3 are the vertical flip of the cottage. My floor plan might help you with your settings. Pay close attention to the garage/house NON connection on level1. Delete your 2nd floor and rebuild using blank plan with finished ceiling height as shown (or do a 'save as', then delete the 2nd floor). Align walls as shown. Pay attention to ALL floor/ceiling settings, roof pitches, and walls. The roof between the front breakfast room and garage is a problem area with auto roofs. You could add a sloped soffit to make it look better. When the roof is correct, turn off auto build roof, and rejoin the walls between the garage and house. Invisible walls will probably be needed to maintain some floor/ceiling heights in that area. Go slowly. Redraw the interior walls on the 2nd floor and raise the ceiling heights within the usable rooms. Because I had to trace the floor plan (to work on it in HDA10) the dimensions are not exact, but they are close. It may not be perfect, but I hope this helps. WeebleSue cottage flip.plan
  20. As near as I can tell: cottage pic and cottage rear pic do not match each other. Your plan footprint (even if reversed) does not match the cottage images. You should never have added interior walls/cabinets/ fixrures until you had the footprint and roof structure correct. You should start over.
  21. It looks like she is leaning toward a 'beachy' craftsman style, and I think pics #12,13,14, really follow through with the rest of the house design style. Looks good, Eric!
  22. Ha Ha. Thanks, LawB10. Have you tried it?
