  1. Eric I have just downloaded the info you sent me and now I will try your suggestions. It looks like it will be very helpful. Many Thanks Robyn
  2. Thankyou Eric I have added the signature . I will be interested to see how that actually works. Many thanks Robyn Next question what do you mean by "I would make a suggestion to have a metric version of the documentation made available" If you mean ask the support team I already have done that several times.
  3. Hi all I am using HD Pro. I need my dormer windows to break the roof line and the wall of the dormer to be part of the wall of my second floor. How to do this or where to find the information would be appreciated.
  4. Thank you everyone. I appreciate your help. However Mick I do not fully understand what you mean by "and title to your signature" Could you explain that another way. Also the reference manual has many errors in it and is always written in imperial measurements that takes time to convert to metric. Also the index does not always answer my questions and USA call items different names to us so here in Australia I find the reference manual painfully slow.
  5. Hi all, I too have tried to add dimensions and text to my elevation drawings and found I am unable to. The measure icon does not function in elevations views. Many Thanks Robyn
  6. Hi all My walls are not drawing straight. See photo section marked 2 in red. Even when I hold the shift key as I draw they still draw as a crooked wall line. This only started happening yesterday. Many Thanks Robyn
  7. Hi all, Have a look at red circle on photo. My exterior walls are not meeting the foundations. What have I set incorrectly. Many Thanks Robyn
  8. Hi all, I have anew computer and the roof colours are not as true as they were on my old computer. Acer are sending me a service Technician to have a look but I would like to save them a trip if possible. They came out the day after I purchased the new one with a few screens and found the colours were the same on all screens so it is not my new screen. It is all the latest in technology. With the very best graphics card. I have added a photo This is how the colour Blue in Corrugated metal roofing looks on my new computer. Does anyone know if my setting need changing on this computer and if so how do I do that. Many Thanks Robyn
  9. Thankyou and I get what you are saying. I always do a manual take off but would be great to have a list that gives me a ball part figure. Also my program in the 1990s gave me external and internal lineal meters of the frames does this program do that I cannot find frames on the list. Also is there a description in the manual for what GN 1 and GN6 and so on is referring too. Thanks Robyn
  10. Wow David thankyou it was a temporary point and is now fixed thanks to your very clear answer. I guess me being able to upload photos helps when people see my questions they can see the photo. Just bought a new computer. Learning my way around it has been a bit of a chore but it works well. many Many Thanks Robyn x
  11. Hi all where is the best explanation to be found on understanding the materials list. I have set all my defaults to what I need. In the materials list I buy my wall wraps by the roll. This program calls them thermal envelopes. In the drop down menu there is no offer of per roll. Many Thanks Robyn
  12. Hi All, I am using Home designer Pro. I have an "X" on a wall and cannot work out why. Have a look at the photo. Many thanks Robyn
  13. Thankyou David. For that quick reply. I always add a photo to my question. I wonder why they are not reaching the forum. That is why sometimes I get odd answers to my questions. I have been thinking you are all drunk over there in USA. Lol x
  14. I added a photo to this post that had a red line around what I was concerned about. Did the photo disapear into space....?? I cannot see it here in the post. Maybe that is why people sometimes don't understand the question. But thankyou to those that take time to answer. X

    Floor Defaults

In E I want my default to be 2400mm (8Feet) As my T&G flooring sits under the wall frames In F I want my defaut to be 2420mm ( 8feet 7.87inches) But then the program changes B and E to 2440 Then A sets automatically to 2565mm I do not have ceiling linning as the Joists and flooring on the above floor are Dressed All Round Timbers. If I uncheck celing over this room the second floor disapears. If you are able to answer I would be most grateful. Because the program is reseting my design in this case. I need to know : Is it unimportant to the finised design. please let me know. If I am being thick as a brick and missing something Please let me know. Builders and owner builders for 24 years always comment that my designs are not ever even 1mm out and I would like that to remain the case. If someone has the time please have a look at the attached photo and get back to me. Many Thanks Robyn

Yes I have read the manual and watched the video. I have tried it many times as per the instructions. It still does not work. So I have reset all my defaults and will try it agin. I did click no ceiling over this room and i did click Roof over this Room to be sure to get a roof but it did not happen.
  21. In Home designer pro. Hi I have tried to place piers under my deck but the warning comes up and I do not understand it. I also need to remove the slab detail?

  23. Oh Mick great minds think alike. I have been saving my plans in stages as I practice. After three weeks I now have 1200 saved plans all with some hallarios mistakes. My grandchildren will have such fun with my "Lets Climb Another Mountain" album
  24. Mick many thanks. As for the time I get up to start my day, I have such a lot of living to do and think I could be a sleep for a long time when I'm up in heaven. LOL.
