  1. Does your security software have a popup blocker?
  2. If you backed up a copy of your User Library you can try importing it. Other than that, Tech Support is probably your best best. I think that usually it is only for the current version, but they might have some suggestions anyway. KB-00717: Using the Online Support Center
  3. There's a Center Object edit tool that will probably work for what you want as well.
  4. KB-00748: Creating a Screen Porch
  5. This article has super detailed instructions on troubleshooting these types of errors. KB-00802: Troubleshooting Exception and Assertion Error Messages
  6. Use Help> Launch Help instead. Contents tab has the Reference Manual and User's Guide chapters, or you can use the Index to search by keywords.
  7. Found this on the ChiefTalk site regarding the same error that might help. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/7427-critical-error-message/
  8. Floor to Top is set to 99" for your default soffit, but your ceiling (94 3/4) is shorter than that. What happens if you set the Soffit Default Floor to Top to something like 90" instead?
  9. Did you change your Soffit defaults? If so, maybe go back in and make the default one smaller (you can also resize them after they are placed in the plan). Double check your Ceiling Height in the room. Failing that, attach the plan and we'll take a look.

  11. Jo_Ann's got it. Turn off Auto Rebuild Roofs first. Then use the Material Painter spray can while in Component Mode.
  12. I think there may just be a regional dialect difference between what you and LawB10 consider a "porch." Sounds like you are using it to mean a covered deck (consistent with what it would be called in my neck of the woods as well), but it in Home Designer a "Porch" room type has a concrete floor by default, making it more of what I would call a patio to LawB10 and that maybe caused some confusion, but I think she was just trying to help by giving you another alternative.
  13. Lonnie's suggestion will work. Another option is that you can also just place cabinet doors and drawers as independent objects. They don't have to be applied to the cabinet directly to create the look you want.

    Water spigot

Home Designer Pro has them in the Core Catalog under Exteriors -> Irrigation -> Hose Bibs & Accessories. I don't know if Suite has them though. If not, one of these might work for you. https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=86c6af80c470a805eb69804478f9c547 https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=8e912dab210f460778fe949fc1419876 https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=2dab196ddd44a4126fa3fa9607b16367 Instructions on importing 3D models is in the Knowledge Base. 16. Try pressing the Spacebar to return to Select Objects instead of keeping the Cabinet tool active?

    Garage Doors

Looks great! If you still have an older copy of the plan with the double doors or if it happens again then you can post it here and maybe we can figure it out to help someone down the road if they run into the same problem.

    Tutorial Issues

In my experience, tech is more for glitches like not being able to install or video card not working right, not really teaching the program. If you're looking at the User's Guide tutorials, I do think that some of the pictures they have there might not totally match up with all of the versions, and the articles and videos on the website won't show totally different screenshots for every possible dialog version, but you can usually figure out what you need to know, but if not, post a question here and we'll try to help!
  19. If the existing concrete blocks in the Library Browser aren't "irregular" enough, try a Google image search for something like "free seamless concrete blocks" - You're going to want a very large high-quality image to create a texture that looks "irregular" when tiled across a large surface like a wall. KB-01084: Creating a Custom Library Material
  20. I think OP actually wants the deck boards and framing, which a "Porch" room wouldn't give because it'd be a slab, which really wouldn't work raised up like this.
  21. Lower the pitch of the roof plane and you probably will also need to lower the Finished Ceiling Height in the Porch room.
  22. No. Only Premier lets you export 3D models to render in other third party applications, but based on ChiefTalk it seems like most people with Premier just end up using it's built in ray tracer for creating photorealistic views anyway.
  23. I don't think showing the Start and End indicators is actually going to do what you think it is. Based on your image, you have a glass wall attached to two other walls so that the drywall won't wrap the ends, which looks bad. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to just delete the glass wall (or make it Invisible if you need the room definition) and use a Cabinet partition set to a glass material instead.
  24. Thanks, it's not the only one. I wonder if the most recent update to HomeTalk broke our ability to post the Photobucket links. I'll go back and attach the images directly in the posts.
