  1. I am having issues with auto generated walls in the attic. They are not connecting where they should for some reason.

Also, I have one wall that is not stopping at the foundation below and just goes  through it below.

  2. I am designing an A frame and have a few walls that are not intersecting with the roof line the way I want. Some walls I have been able to break and adjust to match the roof pitch. Not sure if that is the best way or if there is a better way. Some walls will not let me break them to do what I want. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  3. When starting a new plan there are all the default settings to choose from. Contemporary, modern chic, etc.  Is there a way to convert an already made plan from one preset to another?

  4. I am trying to change the roof lines on this design and I can't figure it out. I want the three front walls to be gables but not connecting to eachother. The attic walls are extending in further than I want but I can't change those without it messing up alot more. Can you guide me how and where I can get help with this?

  5. I am trying to change some room specifications but when I try to click on the room to select it, nothing comes up. I checked all the wall connection points and they are good. I even tried deleting all the exterior walls on that room and build them again, still nothing. What am I missing?

  6. So I have seen this topic discussed  a bit on here but I do not have my answer yet. I want to have the ceiling open with timbers above the bar area but let the siding on the left flow over the top still. I have watched the videos on ceiling beams using the soffit tool but I am not seeing how to incorporate this into the gable wall. Thanks for all the help. Sorry my sketch is very crude but I think you get the idea,

  7. Thanks, Ill give that a try. It is set to 2" now and some windows automatically snap together but others aren't. I do want to keep the distance at 2" though.

  8. I am trying to group windows together and a few of them are automatically creating a mullion. Some areas are not. Is there a way to manually add this?

  9. I recently increased my floor height on the second floor. I increased the main floor walls from 8' 6" walls to 9' walls. The walls stayed in position while the ceilings went up. Now in the cross section, it shows the bottom plate in the floor system and the double tops plates are 5" below the ceiling height. How do I fix this?

  10. I am trying to build a simple garage with 12' ceilings, 42" foundation wall and an 8" drop from SWT to finish floor. When I change one number is changes the others, I go back and forth and feel like I am chasing myself in circles. I must be changing a value not meant to be changed. I have got the desired results a couple times but when I click OK and go into the cross section view, it as changed back to the original values. Is there a default setting I need to overide? Also, for getting the desired stem wall height and ceiling heights am I only suppose to change the absolute values and not the relative values? This seems way more difficult than it should be, there must be a simple step I am overlooking.  Thanks!

  11. With OneDrive the file is stored in both locations. However I went into my C drive and opened the the template file directly from there and it worked. You must be correct about the OneDrive interference.   Thx!

  12. I keep getting an error message when opening a new plan file. I can open old files and they load fine. It says the file could not be found. I tried renaming the folder and that didn't solve anything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I may be wrong with this suggestion, but my way of doing this would be to go to the upper floor and re-align the outside of the wall perimeter with the foundation concrete.

The way this program is setup I don't think it will allow me to do that. Unless you have a suggestion on how to...

Looking at the plan I noticed this ...

I am only trying to solve the area where the floor framing is bearing on the foam. I want it to be flush to the concrete and there would be a small ledge where the upper level meets the foam
